New Movement Foundations Programme Launches at The Nest

New Movement Foundations Programme Launches at The Nest

A new small group strength programme has launched at The Box at The Nest, designed to help people get started with strength training in a calm and supportive environment.

Movement Foundations has been created for individuals who want to exercise but feel unsure where to begin, lack confidence in gym settings, or are returning after time away from training.

Delivered by Vicki Hall, Movement and Strength Coach, the programme focuses on building confidence, teaching fundamental movement patterns, and helping people understand how to train safely and effectively.

The sessions take place away from the traditional gym floor, offering a quieter and more accessible space for those who may find typical gym environments overwhelming.

Participants are guided through structured sessions that focus on:

  • Learning how to move well

  • Building strength safely

  • Improving balance and control

  • Understanding how to progress over time

  • Supporting training with simple nutrition guidance

The programme is delivered in small groups to ensure each person receives individual support and coaching.

The Nest provides an ideal setting for this type of programme, with its focus on community, health, and wellbeing. ADHD informed sessions

ADHD-informed sessions are also available within Movement Foundations, supported by ADHD Norfolk. These sessions offer a calmer, more structured approach for those who may feel overwhelmed in traditional environments or find it difficult to stay consistent, while remaining inclusive and accessible to anyone who would benefit from this style of coaching.

The programme will begin with a series of free taster sessions, giving individuals the opportunity to experience the approach before committing to a longer-term programmes.

Who is Movement Foundations for?

Movement Foundations is particularly suited to:

  • those new to strength training

  • individuals lacking confidence in gym environments

  • individuals returning to exercise after a break

  • anyone looking for a supportive and structured starting point or a new approach to their training

  • those who prefer a calmer, more structured, ADHD-friendly approach

“This isn’t about intense workouts or quick unsustainable results”, Vicki added. “It’s about helping people feel capable, confident, and supported as they build strength in a way that works for them.”
