Running Through the Storm: Our Full Moon Run & Reset at Sea Palling

Aug 29
2 min read

The forecast said rain. The sky delivered a full storm.

And still, around 30 brilliant people turned up at Sea Palling for our Full Moon Run & Reset.

There was wind. There was rain. There was breathwork, cacao, running, walking, a sea dip and a very welcome sauna.

It wasn’t the calm, moonlit evening we might have pictured—but it was absolutely unforgettable.

Moving together—not racing each other

Run & Reset has never been about being the fastest, running the furthest or proving how fit you are.

People could choose to run, run-walk or walk the route. Nobody needed to keep up, nobody was left behind and everyone was part of the same experience.

That really matters to me.

So many people avoid running and outdoor fitness events because they worry they will be too slow, too unfit or the only person walking.

Run & Reset is here to show that movement can feel completely different when you are surrounded by the right people.

You can come exactly as you are.

Finding calm in the middle of a storm

Theresa guided us through breathwork, helping everyone pause, breathe and settle before the next part of the evening.

Trish then brought warmth and comfort with her cacao, which tasted even better with the weather doing its best to challenge us.

The sea dip was completely optional. Some people went in, others stayed warm and watched, and both choices were absolutely fine.

Those who did brave the water came out to the wonderful sight of the pink sauna waiting nearby. On a wet and windy Norfolk evening, stepping into that heat felt particularly special.

More than an outdoor fitness event

What I loved most was seeing people support each other.

Friends and families arrived together.

Experienced runners moved alongside people trying something new. Walkers, run-walkers and runners all shared the same evening.

There was no pressure to perform and no need for perfection—just movement, fresh air, laughter and a sense that we were all in it together.

That is what Move Reset Norfolk is about.

It is not simply exercise. It is helping people feel more confident, capable and connected through movement.

Supporting Keep a Child Alive

The evening also raised money for Keep a Child Alive, making every ticket and soggy mile mean even more.

Thank you to everyone who booked, donated, helped, led a group, checked on others, carried equipment, took photographs or simply turned up with a smile despite the forecast.

A special thank you to Trish for the cacao, Theresa for the breathwork and the Pink Sauna team for giving us the perfect place to warm up afterwards.

Events like this only happen because people get behind them.

Would you join us next time?

If you have ever thought, “I’m not fit enough for something like that,” Run & Reset was created with you in mind.

Running is optional. Walking is welcome. Nobody gets left behind.

Our Norfolk community events combine accessible movement with friendship, nature and time to reset—without the pressure or atmosphere of a traditional fitness event.

Keep an eye on the Move Reset Norfolk events page and our social media channels for details of the next Run & Reset.

Come and join us. Whatever the weather. 🌕🌊
